green river and guest chefs

ok guys...here are the pics of the green river i promised you... it is neon green. i only have a sec. i know i keep promising you a longer post but i never seem to have time. i worked a lot this week. i did a guest chef class which means that i was the intern for a visiting chef as he taught a class to a group of professionals. it was interesting because he didn't speak english and i only speak a teeny tiny bit of french. we had a translator, a girl who graduated with my last december. so it went ok. she was great. it was hard to get my point across whenever the translator was gone though. but my french definitely got better those three days i was with him. by the end i was able to carry on a conversation with him in half french half english. i also found out that he can speak as much english as i can french. =) it was fun and exhausting. i met some great people in the class. on wednseday night i went out with some of them. they are from new york, and they are itatlian and only 21 so very young and hyper. we went to italian for dinner and then we went to a couple clubs and i got home at 4am. aaaaaahhhhh luckily i didn't have to be at work til 10. still i only got about 4 hrs sleep. then the next night i was at work till 11pm cleaning the kitchen and trying to get the dishwasher to hurry up. and i had to be at work at 545 the next morning. needless to say i was exhausted thurs and fri. but it was SSOOOOOO much fun. one of the girls is going to email me all the pics from the class and i will post them. ok, i gotta go. =)

All these pics of Chicago make me want to watch The Negotiator again. Great Samuel Jackson and Kevin Spacy movie set in Chicago. It also makes me want to take a trip up there sometime.
